Liverpool FC Reporting That Torres Could Be Fit To Face Arsenal

Liverpool website is reporting that Fernando Torres might be fit to face Arsenal for the Premier League first match of the clubs (source).  This will surely put Arsenal’s new central defense partnership under test.

Torres, although not at his brilliant best during the World Cup, can do severe damage if left unattended on the pitch. 

With several big names missing for Arsenal on the opening day of the EPL, the team will have to fight hard against Liverpool to gain their first league win for the new season.

Hodgson was quoted saying this on Torres:

 

"We won't risk him (against Rabotnicki) but we are still hopeful that, come the Arsenal game, it won't be out of the question to use him then - though I do realize the sports science people may tell me it's still too early."
